Position Overview:
The Client Success Manager (CSM) serves as the primary liaison between management teams and client finance departments, ensuring seamless communication, training, and retention strategies. This role collaborates with sales to support sales pitches, provides training and onboarding for new client accounting teams and managers, and proactively develops client finance retention initiatives. Additionally, the CSM will oversee two analysts to ensure service delivery models are executed successfully and provide financial analysis and troubleshooting support for escalated issues.
This role collaborates with multiple departments to drive training strategies to ensure team members are consistently trained. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between management teams and client finance departments.
- Develop and implement proactive client finance retention strategies.
- Provide ongoing client finance training to support client retention and improve financial literacy.
- Drive key client finance compliance initiatives to ensure compliance and adherence to deadlines.
- Attend board meetings as needed to provide financial insights and support.
- Monitor and communicate changes in rules and regulations relevant to client finance.
- Troubleshoot and analyze escalated client financial issues, providing resolutions and recommendations.
Sales & Onboarding Support
- Collaborate with the sales team on sales pitches, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Lead training and onboarding sessions for new client accounting teams and management staff.
- Develop and deliver structured financial training programs tailored to client needs.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and review client financials as required.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports to meet client and internal business needs.
- Provide analytical support and insights to improve client financial performance.
Team Leadership & Process Management
- Supervise and mentor two analysts, ensuring they execute the service delivery model successfully.
- Maintain awareness of industry regulations, ensuring timely updates and compliance communication.
- Lead special projects related to client finance and success strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required. MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to multi-task with independent decision-making skills.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting & finance experience within property management or related industry experience. Previous experience in leading teams and/or projects a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous experience with financial and accounting systems such as Yardi, Tops, BJ Murray Peoplesoft, Oracle, Great Plains, SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a client-facing finance or accounting role particularly board relations
- Prior experience in dealing with the monthly financial statements of co-ops/condos, particularly in New York City & State of Florida.
- Commercial and rental experience is a plus.
