We are seeking a full-time Creative Producer responsible for managing the creative processes for Space Center Houston's experiences and exhibits, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors for creative development, fabrication, production, installation, and remediation. This key role, in the development of our expansion plans and ongoing guest experience updates, will bridge communication across all departments and manage the creative process and build stakeholder alignment for projects. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
- Manage concurrent projects with a variety of stakeholders, establishes expectations, estimates scopes, assigns tasks, obtains buy-in from team and leadership, ensures follow up and completion of work.
- Establishes project management plans using tools and/or software that effectively illustrate work plans, timelines and budgets that drive the overall project schedule and completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by developing and maintaining clear and detailed project schedules and budgets that have up-to-date estimates, costs, milestones and timelines.
- Define scope of work, vendor acquisition and manages the awarding of contracts, vendor conformance with deliverables and coordinate submittals.
Communication & Collaboration
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among stakeholder groups to ensure alignment, strategic clarity, transparency, and the seamless progression of project objectives, while maintaining a focus on quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Deliver comprehensive, strategic updates to executive leadership and key organizational stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress, risks, and critical milestones to inform decision-making and drive organizational objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Experience Officer and Project Management leadership to proactively identify high-impact opportunities, providing strategic counsel on innovative solutions to optimize organizational efficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Represents the standards of Space Center Houston as a contact for internal and external stakeholders on projects by communicating information between parties in a timely and accurate manner.
Scheduling, Reporting and Tools
- Responsible for administrative oversight of purchase order management and invoice processing within the SCH payment system, ensuring streamlined operations, compliance, and alignment with organizational financial protocols.
- Manage the organizational record-keeping and archival processes of project plans, ensuring all critical documentation in preserved for future reference.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- 5-7 years of project management and leadership experience
- Experience in themed entertainment, creative, or museum fields preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Understanding of museum practices and visitor engagement strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external vendors and/or contractors.
- Creative thinker, problem solver, and team player
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience developing and managing budgets.
- Highly organized, self-starter, with superb communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing projects, teams, vendors and schedules.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the team when needed.
- Competencies such as sound business judgment, facilitation, decision making, problem solving, and team building.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with limited daily supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented work environment.
- Ability to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
