| What we are looking for

The Senior ServiceNow Platform Specialist is a highly skilled and experienced technical leader who provides consultative leadership to the ServiceNow Platform Support Team and ensures platform alignment to business strategy, and governance decisions. The Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow modules, strong technical expertise, and the ability to lead complex projects. The Senior ServiceNow Platform Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our ServiceNow environment and drive continuous improvement. Overall, the Senior ServiceNow Platform Specialist is a subject matter expert in the ServiceNow platform, and has a sound understanding of business strategy and policies that govern the ServiceNow platform.

| A day in the life

Your responsibilities as the Senior ServiceNow Platform Specialist will include but not be limited to:

ServiceNow Platform Delivery:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and performance of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Design and develop custom applications, workflows, integrations, and automation using ServiceNow best practices.
  • Lead and manage ServiceNow projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope and budget.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize ServiceNow processes and improve platform efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow issues, providing timely and effective support to users.

Contacts and Communications:

  • Participate in client relationships and provide technical support and services to Payments Canada clients.


| What you need to be successful

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Administrator, with a focus on enterprise-level deployments.
  • Demonstrated specialization and or equivalent ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, SecOps, and GRC.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies, such as REST APIs, SOAP, and middleware platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting and development best practices.
  • Travel is required to the Payments Canada offices.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance and can successfully complete enhanced background checks that may be carried out by Payments Canada.

  • Experience in executing Project Management best practices is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices (Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification in IT Service Management is considered an asset).
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

| Salary range

  • Based on qualifications and experience: $93,637 to $117,046.
