Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Specialty: General Surgery
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 0700-1730, 10-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum two years of applicable experience
License: N/A
Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technician (CST) required
Must-Have: Expertise in endoscopy, robotics, OBGYN, ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology
Job Description:
- Provide sterile instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
- Perform surgical counts and prepare case tables.
- Assist in positioning and engage with surgeons regarding instruments.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Call requirement includes three shifts: one night call shift overnight and two weekend call shifts.
- Knowledge in sterile processing is helpful, as well as the ability to pull cases.
- Educational requirements: Associate degree or high school diploma with four years of experience in the related field.
Please note, the Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification is mandatory for this position, supported by a minimum of two years of relevant experience. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is adaptable and possesses the necessary skills to excel in a high-paced surgical environment.
