Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sales leader to join our dynamic team, focusing on IT services sales to the US government/Public sector. This role will be based in the Washington, D.C./Virginia area and will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our footprint within federal, state, and local government markets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience in the US government sector, specifically in IT services.


  • Track Record: Proven track record of closing high-value deals (deal sizes of $1-5 million) and consistently achieving sales targets.


  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Federal and state government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.


  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to articulate complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner.


  • Network: Established network of contacts within federal, state, and local government agencies.


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is a plus but not required


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the US Public sector
  • Identify and engage with key decision-makers within government agencies to establish and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, to closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and delivery, to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of government clients.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
  • Represent company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance the company's presence and build a network of contacts within the government sector.
