Nature of Work
Overall responsibility for management of multipleand/or larger/more complex projects. Managesa staff, contract documents, subcontractor performance, vendor compliance,budgets, costs, safety, profitability, and statutory and legal compliance. Maintains constructive relationships andcommunicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, communityofficials and company staff.

Nature of Work
Overall responsibility for management of multipleand/or larger/more complex projects. Managesa staff, contract documents, subcontractor performance, vendor compliance,budgets, costs, safety, profitability, and statutory and legal compliance. Maintains constructive relationships andcommunicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, communityofficials and company staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs project staff on multiple projects simultaneously to ensure projects are completed per contract documents and schedule.
- Coordinates and communicates with owners, vendors, crews, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to facilitate timely project completion.
- Has accountability for all project management documentation across multiple projects that may include schedules, material purchases, cost management, progress charts, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, jobsite controls, tracking reports, etc..
- Negotiates procurement of all scopes of work and draft subcontract and purchase order agreements.
- Manages and directs subcontractor activities alongside Project Managers and Superintendents across multiple projects to ensure expectations of contract documents are met.
- Responsible for the establishment and coordination of overall project schedule on multiple projects alongside Superintendent.
- Accountable for cost control measures and project labor forecasts, material, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Prepares, manages, and negotiates both subcontractor and owner change orders, as well as review those prepared by other Project Managers.
- Organizes, participates, and leads various project meetings.
- Assists project team in providing a safe work environment, as well as complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Performs detailed financial review and analysis of project budgets, and prepares monthly projections as a part of project review and business planning processes, as well as review details/analyses of budgets/projections prepared by other Project Managers.
- Conducts pre-construction reviews including design, estimate review and contract documents. Develops purchasing strategies and schedules.
- Visits project sites to monitor progress, maintain relationships, and verify quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains client relationships and assists in development of new business.
- Exercises initiative or, as directed, performs additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.
In addition to the above responsibilities, thisposition will be responsible for the following:
- Mentors, trains, and develops both Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Participates in theidentification of, interviewing, and selection of new team members throughoutthe recruitment and hiring process.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to engage and driveprojects from preconstruction through completion.
- Actively leads, collaborates with, and functions well within a team-oriented environment across multiple projects.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.
- Proficient in general construction practices and principles.
- Possess diversity across varying construction market sectors preferred.
- Proficient in accounting principles as it relates to construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in project management, accounting, and scheduling software.
- Experience with supervising or managing directreports is required.
- Experience in preparing and presenting presentations related to overall construction progress preferred.
- Ability to travel to various jobsites to meetproject demands preferred.

Education
- A minimum of a bachelor'sdegree from a four-year college, university, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 10 years or more of related work experience preferred.
- Will have supervisoryresponsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Physical demands for this position are moderate. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending or carrying of items (25-50 pounds) such as plan documents, papers, books, parts, etc. There may be times of physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing or similar activities. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. Requires a good ability to see, hear, and speak.
Working Environment
- Standard project site environment may includemachinery, parts and chemicals; may require protective gear.
