Job Overview: This role is part of the Enterprise Architecture team, which plays a critical role in developing a holistic view and roadmap of the company's technology strategy and processes. The Enterprise Architect is an enterprise-wide expert with broad technical expertise, deep industry knowledge, and strong business acumen. This role supports IT in aligning digital transformation and cloud adoption strategies with business objectives.
The Enterprise Architect specializes in one or more areas, including business strategy, application architecture, and data & information architecture. This individual must have strong communication and consultative skills to collaborate with product management, engineering, and other IT teams to define transformation roadmaps and implementation steps.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties outline the expectations for this position but are not exhaustive.
  • Collaborate with Product and IT Leadership to develop a strategic roadmap for platforms and systems supporting the company's business units, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategies.
  • Communicate IT strategy and vision effectively to C-level executives, business leaders, and IT teams.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks that support business needs and IT vision.
  • Conduct research and discovery activities to validate emerging technologies and trends relevant to strategic and technical direction, acting as a change agent for business innovation.
  • Work with product and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Partner with Solution Architects to develop consensus-based, scalable, and adaptable architectural solutions.
  • Establish and enforce policies, standards, and guidelines to maintain a consistent enterprise architecture framework.
  • Manage and facilitate Architecture Review Boards to evaluate technologies, design patterns, and solutions.
  • Provide expertise in data architecture, ensuring compatibility with current and future enterprise data strategies.
  • Develop AI & machine learning strategies and roadmaps, including natural language processing, ML platforms, and data lakes.
  • Create and articulate a future-state data platform vision using relevant architecture and design artifacts.
  • Validate proposed architectures through proofs-of-concept and MVPs.
  • Design scalable data solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and marts, while resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven ability to collaborate with highly skilled technical professionals.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas to senior IT and business leadership.
  • Extensive experience in Data Architecture, including executing multiple large-scale data platform modernization and migration projects.
  • Enterprise data integration and management expertise, including Datawarehouse technologies, data pipelines, and cloud data platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data technologies.
  • Experience in distributed systems, mobile solutions, middleware APIs, highly available architectures, and data virtualization.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and domain-driven design.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed streaming platforms such as Kafka.
  • Expertise in event-based and message-driven distributed systems.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, with certification preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience, particularly with standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCDA, and HIPAA, is a plus.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior enterprise architecture role, designing complex solutions in cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in application design and development using languages such as .NET C# or Java, including REST services.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience architecting and designing data solutions using GCP technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, or Spanner.
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise data strategy development and analytics.
  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on data technologies.
  • 2-3 years of working knowledge with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Experience with BI analytics tools like Tableau and Looker.
  • Recent experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Expertise in data modeling, Datawarehouse, data lake, and DataMart architecture.
  • Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and cloud migration roadmaps.


Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior enterprise architecture role, designing complex solutions in cloud environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in data and AI, with a strong focus on architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale enterprise systems.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience architecting and designing solutions using GCP technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, or Spanner.
