PURPOSE OF JOB: Responsible for the management and oversight of analytics, reporting and research to support clinical, financial, product line and population health improvement, development and business strategy. Manages, organizes and supports the projects identified by the Senior Management, in an effort to design systems and processes to reliably deliver evidence-based clinical care for individuals and populations.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Oversee analytical team in the extraction, aggregation and quality assurance of data from multiple sources in support of performing operational reporting and quantitative analyses of clinical and population-based processes, products and outcomes.
  • Direct the development and execution of analytical and/or research activities to provide senior leadership with information and tools for strategic decision making and planning, health care utilization and costs, affordability opportunities, reimbursement projects and issues, population health and clinical outcomes, provider patterns and variations, trends and forecasting, data and informatics needs and emerging technologies.
  • Provide best-in-class reporting and analytics to demonstrate the value of Doylestown Health's products and services. Drive the continual development of "best practice" reporting and analytics tools.
  • Develop and prepare departmental scorecards & dashboards showing high level results and trends. Provide direct skills and lead a team of analysts in developing and preparing a consistent set of operational and member satisfaction reports/dashboards for leadership that reflect established services standards and metrics.
  • Collaborate with IT and departments to advance Doylestown Health's reporting capabilities and improve accuracy of data.
  • Maintain relationships with and provide reporting & analytical support to departments, units and system-wide and support cross-functional projects.
  • Supports use of the PDSA approach to improve both clinical systems and processes, and guide leaders through the phases of the improvement process.
  • Educate leaders and front-line staff on improvement theory, statistical analysis, and data presentation.
  • Provide information on upcoming regulations and standards to the organization regarding, for example, CMS core measurements, Pay for Performance initiatives.
  • Use expertise of all Doylestown Hospital's clinical data systems to generate reports that are useful for the analysis of improvement projects on the system-wide, department, and unit level.
  • Develop "real-time" reports to enable leaders to monitor progress of patient centric elements relevant to evidence based care.
  • Supports Doylestown Healthcare Partnership clinical improvement initiatives with analytics and reporting


  • Job Qualifications:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Masters degree required in engineering, statistics, public health or other formal quality improvement training.


  • Experience: A minimum of five years experience in the area of healthcare analytics or process improvement.
