The Director of IT Procurement - Software Focus leads global strategic sourcing initiatives for software procurement to achieve savings and cost-effectiveness for our Company. Reporting directly to the AVP, Technology Procurement, this role partners with the IT Leadership team to align sourcing strategies globally.

As our Company IT undergoes a multi-year transformation prioritizing cloud services and data analytics, this leader is expected to manage cross-functional teams through a consistent sourcing process, driving results in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Sourcing: Develop and implement software category strategies, managing supplier relationships and supporting stakeholder needs.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendor management for software solutions and monitor commercial and service-related issues, with knowledge of IT Services, IT Hardware, and Telecom.
  • RFP Management: Lead the RFP process for software procurement, utilizing e-Sourcing tools to ensure optimal vendor selection.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate complex software contracts that meet our Company's business requirements while capturing value.
  • Cost Management: Achieve procurement cost savings and meet budget commitments, tracking progress in Procurement's Savings Database.
  • Diversity Initiatives: Implement inclusive sourcing plans to engage diverse suppliers across the US and globally.


Primary Activities:
  • Drive competitive sourcing events (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) and support comprehensive vendor selection and negotiation processes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment with their software procurement needs.
  • Adopt effective change management practices and exemplify our Company's Leadership Standards.
  • Ensure alignment with global procurement strategies and enhance supplier value management.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT procurement, specifically in software, IT services, IT hardware, or telecom.
  • Strong people leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Providers and SaaS models.

  • Strong project management and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-visibility initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:
$153,800.00 - $242,200.00
