Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for Hospitalist/House Physicians to lead and develop a team of health care professionals in our newly renovated facility at 205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX.

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient medical care including diagnosing, treating and managing acute and chronic medical conditions. Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care while maintain safety and security protocols.

Essential Functions:
1. Provide direct inpatient care to incarcerated individuals while managing their acute and/or chronic medical conditions.
2. Perform admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning in coordination with medical staff.
3. Collaborate with other providers, including but not limited to specialists, nurses, and mental health professionals, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
4. Monitor and manage infectious diseases, chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension), and acute illnesses.
5. Maintain compliance with correctional healthcare policies, ensuring adherence to security procedures.
6. Communicate with security and administrative staff to ensure a safe and secure patient care environment.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control efforts, and mortality reviews as needed.
8. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with institutional and legal requirements.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with a valid state medical license as well as current DEA, ACLS and CPR certifications required. Board certification/eligibility in internal medicine, family medicine or related specialty as well as experience in hospital medicine, correctional health care, or underserved populations preferred. Must have strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and ability to collaborate with a team in a multidisciplinary setting. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements, maintain licensing and certifications, and pass an annual background check.
