The Director of Supply Chain and Contract Services functions as the leader of the Lake Regional Health System (LRHS) Supply Chain Department and a key member of the LRHS leadership team. The focus of the Director is on promoting the LRHS's culture, setting the vision for Supply Chain throughout the organization, and setting up department team members for success. This role is responsible for providing supply chain expertise, operational excellence, cost transparency, and logistical support to all members of the LRHS staff.

Principal Accountabilities and Essential Duties of the Job:
  • Functions as the strategic leader and key change agent for supply chain, Cardiac Rehab, Dietary and Rehab Departments.
  • Must possess exceptional problem-solving skills, be a strong critical thinker and be effective at constructive execution
  • Must act and embody the spirit and intent of the Code of Conduct & Professional Standards
  • Proactively seeks out, evaluates, analyzes, and optimizes supply availability through contracting, inventory management, and utilization for all supported departments
  • Treats the needs of all upstream and downstream customers of the Supply Chain, Cardiac Rehab, Rehab Services and Dietary as a priority.
  • Interacts with all levels of leadership and management in supporting LRHS organizational goals
  • Works diligently to stay aware of market changes as they impact inventory/shortages/product risk related to inventory stocked and supported within LRHS
  • Leverages information and data to optimize all supply chain functions and cafeteria including; receiving, stocking, issuing, contracting, and the procurement of products in support of the LRHS' needs
  • Actively seeks out opportunities to improve departmental supply chain, rehab therapy and cafeteria expertise and knowledge for all coworkers.
  • Facilitates and contributes to the identification and solution of problems.
  • Promotes customer satisfaction through competent professional practices and prompt response always in alignment with the internal staff, departments, and fellow supporting team members.
  • Must possess exceptional communication and presentation skills as well as be able to communicate directly with all levels of management and leadership
  • Assists senior leadership with Strategy and Vision development and execution.

  • Works with administration team to develop, communicate and implement key strategies and organizational initiatives
  • Understands organizational vision, strategies, and goals and can communicate those efforts into strategies and goals

  • Conducts ongoing and annual performance evaluations for all coworkers within their area of focus
  • Collaborates with fellow department leaders and administration and works to foster strong relationships with upstream and downstream customers.
  • Leadership Responsibility for Contracting
  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve contract coverage, reduce product cost and optimize vendor partnerships.
  • Works with others to ensure vendor relationships are appropriately managed, contracts are optimized and products are available
  • Works to ensure detailed financial analysis of contract offerings are shared and understood.
  • Work with GPO partners to ensure LRHS is maximizing its contract opportunities.


  • Leadership Responsibility
  • Partners with the LRHS Controller and others to ensure organizational consistency in the procurement, receipt, and payment of capital, services, and products made on behalf of LRHS.
  • Advise, influence, and enforce LRHS policies.
  • Promote the use, leveraging, and maximization of optimization tools, such as GHX, to provide efficiencies and savings to LRHS
  • Leadership Responsibility for Inventory Management
  • Works with Managers all Inventory is managed and optimized as appropriate
  • Works diligently to ensure all product shortages and outdates are proactively managed
  • Establishes a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the optimization of inventory
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of Warehouse/ CS Inventory / PAR management
  • Organizational Responsibility for Receiving & Dock Operations
  • Ensures that receiving, staging and delivery of inventory shipments are accurately received and adhere to expectations
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of receiving and Dock Operations
  • Other Duties as required and as directed by the Operational Leader
