Boeing's Human Resources organization is seeking a Total Rewards Chief of Staff (Senior Manager) to support the Vice President (VP) of the organization.

This key role is responsible for aiding the VP in establishing organizational priorities, overseeing day-to-day operations, developing and implementing comprehensive strategies, and integrating various initiatives, programs, and teams to ensure organizational alignment and flawless execution of priorities. The role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, business acumen, strategic thinking, strong execution and integration skills, and passion for making the company better.

The Total Rewards organization oversees strategic direction related to compensation and benefits for Boeing worldwide. It is also responsible for ensuring that Boeing can attract and retain the very best talent globally through competitive pay and benefits practices. The group includes Global Compensation, Global Benefits, Executive Compensation, and Merger and Acquisitions, among other entities.

This position can be based in any of the following locations: Everett, WA; Renton, WA; Seattle, WA; Auburn, WA; Tukwila, WA; North Charleston, SC; Berkeley, MO; Chicago, IL or Plano, TX. The VP sits in Seattle and the preference is that the selected candidate be located at this site or relocate if willing.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the VP and other senior leaders to develop and execute the organization's strategic priorities
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Identify best practices to support enhancement of strategic priorities
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies
  • Ensure teams are meeting their commitments on priority execution
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking
  • Manage the organization's overall operating rhythm including team meetings, trainings, strategic planning sessions, and talent reviews
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure organizational effectiveness to enhance productivity while seeking continuous improvement
  • Draft and review correspondences, presentations, and reports if support of the Vice President
  • Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, wellbeing, and retention
  • Develop strategies to address talent gaps and support employee growth and career development
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Manage key projects and initiatives, ensuring they are executed flawlessly on time and within budget
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, track progress, and provide regular updates to the Vice President
  • Mitigate risks and resolve issues that may arise during project execution
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners; specifically, the personnel in the office of the Executive Vice President for Human Resources
  • Represent the VP in meetings, conferences, and events
  • Collaborate with other organizations to ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience working on teams and projects that involve cross-functional and/or cross-business domains with executive interface
  • 3+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management
  • Experience directly supporting senior/executive leaders


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience leading direct reports
  • Experience creating and developing strategy plans and executing strategies and managing projects
  • Experience balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $158,100 - $228,850
