Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Marshall Orthopaedics Walk-In Clinic

Job Description: The practice is a busy academic orthopaedic department with multiple satellite offices in the Tri-State area. The practice is looking for an advanced practice provider to provide medical services for its orthopaedic walk-in clinic at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Compassionate, energetic, responsible individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centric care in a busy orthopaedic walk-in clinic setting.
• No call responsibilities. Occasional evening hours.
• Treats patients independently in an office.
• Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintains and reviews patient's records, charts and other pertinent information.
• Participates in research projects and educational projects.
• Performs related work as required.

Education: Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience. Experience in orthopaedic surgery is desired.

License/Registration: Valid West Virginia license.
