Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Invasive
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days; 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4x10 Hr shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Experience: Minimum three years of applicable experience
License: State RN license in good standing
Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
Must-Have:
- Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English
- Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser
- Multicultural sensitivity
- Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in decision-making
Job Description:
- Contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills in providing and managing patient care through the nursing process.
- Promote the use of evidence-based practice through nursing protocols and procedures.
- Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical assessment of actual problems and outcomes.
- Develop an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Use appropriate interventions identified in the plan of care to achieve expected patient outcomes.
- Evaluate and document patient's progress toward expected outcomes/goals on an ongoing basis.
- Modify the plan of care based on evaluation.
- Complete required documentation, including patient charts and event reports.
- Demonstrate accountability for one's practice by seeking resources and self-development.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshoot when needed.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge and skills in evidence-based nursing practice.
- Promote professional development for self and team members.
