Posting Summary

The Director of Student Services for CEMS works to develop, administer and advance CEMS undergraduate enrollment, retention, and post-graduation success goals in association with the CEMS Leadership team in the Dean's office, Department Chair, Program Directors and faculty in alignment with College and University strategy. Manage the Office of Student Services in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. Provide oversight and direction for all undergraduate advising, college registrar activities, international experiences, recruitment and retention, and career readiness programs. Lead strategic initiatives for monitoring student progress, increasing retention and graduation rates, and recruitment. Lead the development and execution of strategic partnerships with key employers to enhance career opportunities for our students and advance the mission of the college working closely with CEMS and UVM Strategic Communications on marketing and with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Department Chairs, and faculty on academic aspects. The director is expected to represent the College on relevant student affairs and student services committees, and to collaborate across the University.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in higher education administration, counseling or a similar field and five to six years of related experience. Effective leadership, communication, project management and interpersonal skills required.

Desirable Qualifications

Understanding of statistical/enrollment trends. Knowledge of higher education philosophy, governance, structure and culture.

Anticipated Pay Range

$80,000-$95,000

Weekend work required, Non-standard work hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
