Job Summary:
As part of our Employee Benefits Executive team, the National Pharmacy Practice Leader will be responsible for HUB's strategic vision and the ongoing innovation and development of our pharmacy practice. This leadership role will have both direct and indirect management responsibility for HUB's pharmacy consultants and associates. This role will work closely with the Regional Presidents, Market Leaders, Specialty Practices, Producers, and Account Teams across the country as we serve our clients and their unique pharmacy challenges. The Practice Leader will manage HUB's National PBM and Rx Vendor relationships at the Executive level. In addition, the individual serving in this role will expand HUB's external presence and brand in the employee benefits marketplace as part of a multi-year strategic plan.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor providing Pharmacy thought leadership for Employee Benefits at a national level
  • Drive sales and revenue growth by expanding current client relationships and new client opportunities in the upper mid and large employer market space through strategic consulting, innovative solutions, market leverage, and key relationships
  • Build, develop and communicate strategic and tactical up-to-date pharmacy business initiatives and solutions in a way that allows clients to understand the impacts to their strategy and their membership
  • Provide proactive topical pharmacy communication(s), research, and thought leadership to HUB internal teams, clients, and to the marketplace through relevant formats, channels, and platforms
  • Provide current and future strategic clients with effective Pharmacy consulting and appropriate cost saving solutions based on their unique needs and tolerance for change
  • Identify solutions that are considered market disruptors; however are also proven and sustainable
  • Make recommendations on HUB's direction for establishing market leading practices in analyses, technology, services, etc.
  • Provide Account Teams, clients, and prospects with detailed pharmacy analysis, working with/through various partners and PBMs; deliver decision support for the election of PBM, and detail the success criteria used to make those selections
  • Partner with, train and develop HUB Producers and Account Management personnel to understand and present key pharmacy findings and solutions
  • Represent the pharmacy benefit practice in various strategic business initiatives as appropriate
  • Identify innovative development opportunities for the pharmacy practice and implement appropriate changes to our solutions and services to improve client results
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


Required Skills / Experience Include:
  • Relevant degree and/or combination of experience required for the role, e.g., Master's, RPH, PharmD, etc.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Employee Benefits and/or Pharmacy industry, working directly with large clients, PBMs, and Employee Benefits consultants
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing innovative solutions as part of a multi-year strategic vision
  • Experience managing and developing a team of consultants and associates
  • Expert knowledge of PBM contracting and financial analysis
  • Previous examples of industry contributions (e.g., white papers, presentations, publications, etc.)
  • Clinical advising experience in the PBM marketplace preferred
  • Established Executive relationships with PBMs, coalitions, and other appropriate pharmacy vendors
  • Comprehensive knowledge of both current and emerging client-focused pharmacy solutions Proven ability to exceed expectations and achieve goals
  • Understanding of pharmacy contract, rebate, and plan audits preferred
  • Strong knowledge of change management and an ability to utilize management consulting skills Comprehensive knowledge of both current and emerging client-focused pharmacy solutions
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong "can do" attitude

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $260,000 to $300,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
