Overall Function
The Catalyst Product Engineer is responsible for providing complete, accurate and on-time technical proposals to prospective customers as well as supporting internal teams to efficiently meet our needs. The person in this role needs to be a team player who can coordinate with sales, logistics, R&D and technical services, demand planning and proposal specialists, other engineering groups, and the catalyst production plant. Success in this role requires the ability to balance and prioritize internal and external requests to support our customers and keep business moving forward. Attention to detail and quality work are required to provide designs that are competitive, reliable, and efficient.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for sales: provide catalyst designs that meet customer emissions requirements, improve/troubleshoot existing catalyst bed performance, maintain customer information documents, interface with customers to answer design or technical questions.
- Serve as first point of contact for internal catalyst design program users: coordinate with design program team to make improvements, troubleshoot user issues, train new users on the program and design guidelines, keep catalyst design guide up to date.
- Support other catalyst teams as needed: be a backup for commercial proposal work, aid product stewardship team, and maintain quality/work process documents.
- Support regional catalyst engineers and field technicians: assist with technical designs, customer troubleshooting, field data analysis and order scheduling.
- May involve some lab work at our R&D facility.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.S. in chemical engineering.
- Position requires ability to balance and prioritize numerous tasks at various stages in the process.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills needed to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
- Tact, patience, and positivity are needed to succeed in this role.
