We are currently looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, either full time or part time. This position will be based at our N Broadway location in Green Bay, WI.
Summary: Working as an independent provider, APNPs are responsible for completing initial assessments, risk assessments, treatment planning as well as conducting ongoing medication management to patients receiving services within the behavioral health department.

Essential Functions:
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations (including mental status and pharmacological components)
- Prescribe medications, teach clients about side effects, and monitor response to prescribed medications, while monitoring the effects and make adjustments as needed
- Develop treatment plans according to the needs of the patient with the evaluation of emotional, social, cognitive, development, or behavior disorder
- Provide clinical supervision of staff on the type and nature of ongoing patient needs
- Consult with the patient's Primary Care Physician, Nurse, or other health care providers
- Provide collaborative and/or supervisory support to other providers both in and outside of the discipline of psychiatry, as needed
Qualification requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree and completion of an ACGME accredited psychiatry residency program meeting requirement for Wisconsin licensure. Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred
Or
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Education Program and board certified by the ANCC in Psychiatry Mental Health
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in the State of Wisconsin. Experience in provision of an eclectic problem-solving approach to clients seeking pharmacological support and problem resolution. Familiarity with a range of issues such as poverty, community, family violence, HIV, human sexuality, AODA, criminal justice systems, chronic or terminal illness and pain, and parenting skills, are desirable.
- Ability to provide culturally competent services to a variety of clients in a direct, responsive manner as well as a willingness to confront traditional barriers related to various mental health diagnoses. Strong interactive "team" skills within both a behavioral health and a primary medical care setting with the ability to adapt to changing situations and circumstances.
