TBG Partners is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth by cultivating relationships and opportunities in planning, urban design, and landscape architecture in Central Texas markets. With a targeted focus on Urban Mixed-Use, Civic, and Community sectors, this role requires a proactive and strategic approach to identifying and securing high-caliber public and private clients who align with TBG's values-particularly in sustainable design. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and passionate advocate for TBG's mission and vision.

Requirements

  • Business Development experience within the landscape architecture, planning, or urban design industries.
  • Proven track record of winning work and cultivating client relationships in the Urban Mixed-Use, Civic, and Community sectors.
  • Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills for evaluating leads and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for proposal and RFQ/RFP development.
  • Ability to foster and maintain long-term relationships with developers, architects, municipal agencies, and consultants.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred)
  • Strong collaborative mindset, working effectively with internal teams to align business development efforts with project execution and promotion.
  • Passion for mentoring colleagues in business development best practices and contribute to a firmwide BD culture.
  • Active engagement in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance TBG's presence.
  • Knowledge of market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks in the Texas market.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in planning, urban design, and landscape architecture across Texas, ensuring alignment with enterprise BD goals and sustainable design values.
  • Execute a Regional BD Sector Plan and evaluate leads using a strategic go/no-go process for resource allocation.
  • Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and RFQ/RFP responses in collaboration with TBG BD and Marketing teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, architects, municipal agencies, and consultants, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with industry firms and agencies, ensuring seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent TBG at industry events and conferences, or designate team members as needed.
  • Foster internal collaboration by aligning BD efforts with project execution, mentoring colleagues, and championing business development culture within TBG.
  • Oversee the adoption and implementation of Deltek Vantagepoint CRM for tracking leads and client relationships.
  • Serve on TBG's BD Foundation Community, sharing best practices and contributing to firmwide BD strategies.
  • Monitor regional market conditions to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing regular reports and updates to senior leadership.
