BI Reporting Developer
Role Summary:
The BI Reporting Developer leverages strong critical thinking skills to gather requirements, create data models, and deliver analytical solutions for internal stakeholders. This role collaborates with data architects, engineers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders to translate raw data into meaningful insights, supporting TireHub's 400+ users across multiple departments.
This role will report to the Business Intelligence Leader.

Business Insights Development: Builds a deep understanding of specific business areas and the metrics critical to driving performance. Partners with stakeholders to translate data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making.
Data Management and Analysis: Performs and documents detailed data analysis, validation, and mapping/design processes. Develops iterative reporting solutions to guide business analysis and optimize outcomes.
Collaboration with Data Engineers: Partners closely with data engineers to review and refine data designs, manage metadata, and ensure data quality through standardized calculations, report labels, and balancing controls.
Data Security Management: Designs and maintains row-level security protocols for Power BI reports and datasets, ensuring appropriate user access while safeguarding data integrity.
Continuous Learning and Innovation: Demonstrates a commitment to learning by researching, recommending, and applying new Power BI features and integrations advance the organization's analytical capabilities.
Compliance & Training:
Ensures individual personal adherence to TireHub policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through in-person, virtual or computer-based learning modules as assigned.
Completes other tasks assigned by their supervisor or another member of Leadership, as requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools, with firsthand experience in designing, developing, and delivering data visualizations and reporting solutions. Familiarity with popular BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, KNIME, or similar tools, including creating dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide actionable insights for business decision-making.
Knowledge of Database/Operational Business Analysis (DB/OBA) and operational business analytics, ensuring the design, management, and optimization of data models that support reporting and analytics. This includes proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, managing large datasets, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis, with the ability to extract, cleanse, and manipulate data from multiple sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Skilled in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing business metrics, and leveraging data to drive improvements and inform business strategies.
Expertise in working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for reporting and analysis. Skilled at identifying business problems, formulating hypotheses, gathering relevant data, and presenting findings in a clear, actionable format.
Strong analytical critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies, report errors, or system performance. Proficient in identifying the root causes of issues, utilizing debugging tools and techniques, and providing timely resolutions to ensure the accuracy and functionality of data solutions.

Working Conditions:
**This role is based out of TireHub's corporate offices in Dunwoody, Georgia, and requires a strong in-person presence.**

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field is preferred.
- Master's degree in Data Science or Statistics is a plus.
- 5-7 years' experience developing SQL code, procedures, tables, views, and extracts.
- 5-7 years' experience in developing ad-hoc analytics and communicating results to stakeholders.
- 5-7 years' experience in Fabric/Power BI, to include:
- Designing and developing reports, dashboards, scorecards, and reusable datasets on Fabric tenant.
- Strong proficiency in DAX for building calculated measures to support business KPI's.
- Knowledge of tabular data modeling and performance design.

- A valid Driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience required (3 years preferred; Does not include time on learner's permits).
Working Conditions:
- This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment.
- Majority of time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around. There may be occasions to move or lift light articles.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate routinely critical system changes and emergency events.
- This role is based in our headquarters office in Dunwoody, GA and requires a strong in-person presence.
- Must be able to travel up to 10%.
