JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Architectural Design Luxury provides content leadership on projects, which include luxury managed, franchised and company-owned hotels, to ensure quality control, brand compliance, operational acceptability, and adherence. This role will involve maintaining and enhancing brand standards while tracking project progress. The Manager-Architectural Design, Luxury will be responsible for fostering a creative and productive work environment, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget and to owner specifications.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in architecture at a design firm for luxury hospitality projects.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, scheduling, project & database mgmt. software (e.g., Microsoft Project,
AutoCad, Bluebeam, Adobe).
Excellent business acumen
Excellent customer relations skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Knowledgeable about innovation and trends both in and outside of the industry
Preferred
4-year undergraduate degree in Architecture or related design discipline required.
Architectural license preferred.
Master of Architecture or 5-year B.Arch degree preferred.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Provide conceptual design studies and sketch plans and criteria/facilities programs for projects as required.
Supervise, direct, inspire, motivate and train assigned staff and outside consultants as necessary.
Provide information, interpretation and guidance to outside owners as well as internal design and construction staff for adapting Brand standards to specific projects.
Assist in negotiation and implementation of design and design changes after project approval for all projects and track changes to projects in database.
Research, identify, negotiate and contract outsource professional consultants as well as temporary consultants on a project basis.
Coordinate scope and review outside consultant proposals, contracts and invoicing.
Monitor and regularly update supervisor on the progress of projects.
Support and aid in the upkeep and enhancement of brand standards.
Support feasibility requests working with development and ownership teams.
Support PIP's working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel: 30%
Maryland Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $93,400 to $129,500 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $102,800 to $142,500 annually.
