The Corporate Systems team in Charles Schwab's IT organization is looking for a motivated Mid-Level Software Developer to work on our Securities Lending business applications. You will be working closely with our various business partners and stakeholders. This position will take on a key development and support role in critical Securities Lending applications.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical expertise on critical enhancement and maintenance development endeavors
  • Engage with variety of staff: Business System Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, QA, Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with team members and stakeholders
  • Aid in delivering technical strategies and solutions, application development, and end-user services
  • Solve problems and provide support, taking responsibility to make decisions when appropriate
  • Take on diverse set of projects and tasks including working to improve technology, tools and processes that are leveraged across Software Engineering job family
  • Provide crisp and well-understood directives and communication
  • Learn and understand applications from a technical and business perspective
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and lead by example
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity while seeking clarity


What you have

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years' experience in full stack application development technologies using primarily C#
  • Strong fundamentals in SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, and influencing skills
  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor
  • Ability to listen and encourage thoughts, opinions and discussions where needed


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Java, REST Web Services, and JSON/XML
  • Familiar with modern source control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Acquainted with generative AI prompt engineering
  • Exposure to testing methodologies, including unit testing, TDD/BDD, and automation
  • Experience with cloud-ready platforms such Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, or Azure
  • Familiarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
