We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Lead to perform accounting tasks in a shared services environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate transactions, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

The compensation range for this position is approximately $91,000 - $119,000 and will be based on the candidate's qualification, experience, and education

Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.
Highly specialized expertise in areas such as public accounting, financial regulations, and developing complex accounting systems. Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and theories of financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers and journals and of computer technology related to accounting systems.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Lead to perform accounting tasks in a shared services environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate transactions, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries
- Prepare and review bank and other account reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurately stated
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Work in a team environment while supporting business units throughout the organization
- Maintain existing internal controls while looking for continuous improvement opportunities
- Develop accounting process flows and SOPs
- Develop, analyze, and present reports to management
- Manage projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned
- Indirectly supervise the work efforts of lower level or junior staff members
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of experience
- Hands-on experience in financial accounting & reporting
Technical Skills:
- MS suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- SAP ERP experience highly desired
- Hyperion ESSBASE, a plus
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive data
- Strong accounting knowledge, fact-finding skills, and ability to provide solutions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines through good organization and prioritization
- Ability to work closely with personnel from various departments and all levels of management
- Strong critical reasoning skills, independent judgment, and objectivity
