The Family Conservancy (TFC) is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join our dynamic team. As Vice President of Finance, you will play a crucial role in sustaining this vision, ensuring financial strategies align with our long-term goals and community impact.

The Opportunity
As the Vice President of Finance, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing the financial health of the organization. You will manage financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial initiatives to ensure TFC's long-term success. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of nonprofit financial management, grant funding, and regulatory compliance.

Team Structure & Direct Reports
As Vice President of Finance, you will oversee the Accounting Team. You will lead a team of approximately 6-7 finance professionals, providing guidance, oversight, and professional development. Your leadership will ensure that the finance team operates efficiently and effectively to meet the organization's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring fiscal health and sustainability.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Lead financial compliance efforts, including grant management and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and financial planning.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team to support operational excellence.
  • Act as a key liaison to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.


Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • CPA certification or a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience in a hands-on management role.
  • Not-for-profit and grant accounting experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience managing teams and working with executive leadership and boards.
