Under the direct supervision of the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Staff Services Manager (SSM) II and direction of the DOR Director, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently provides complex administrative, logistical and analytical services in support of the Director. The incumbent will plan and coordinate travel arrangements for the Director; independently coordinate, research, evaluate and prepare briefing materials; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; maintain professionalism with frequent contact with the Governor's Office, California Health and Human Services Agency; Legislature; state and federal agencies; community partners, and the general public. The incumbent will establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and maintain consistent and predictable attendance as well as exercise good judgement. The incumbent should be available outside of normal working hours and willing to travel to provide reasonable accommodations to the special needs of the Director by performing the following job functions: driving/transporting the employee to appointments and providing for a "comfortable" work setting (attendant care) and other job-related support services related to the provision of reasonable accommodations.
