KP is looking for an experienced Sr. Azure Systems Engineer who will be responsible for leading server operations across the organization, being the Technical Lead in our infrastructure, encompassing primarily Azure, but including Windows and VMware, and serving as an escalation point for issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, create and support a robust Azure cloud infrastructure, Windows server environment, and virtualized infrastructure that align with business needs
  • Identify and lead the migration of on-prem systems to Azure using a cloud-smart approach
  • Administrative management of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, etc.)
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Lead the integration and testing of new technologies, and upgrading existing infrastructure
  • Create, document, and communicate project requirements, plans, and status
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for escalated/urgent issues
  • Create and maintain technical and non-technical network/architectural documentation
  • Perform risk analysis to identify IT security issues and remediating plans
  • Remediate and minimize technical debt
  • Other duties as requested or assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/Bachelor's Seeking with Technical Competencies and 8 years of industry experience OR 10 years of industry experience
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Azure services (Azure based Windows virtual machines, SQL instances, storage accounts, Network Security Groups, Virtual Networks, DR, Backup, etc.), and designing redundant solutions.
  • While Azure is the primary focus, experience with Windows servers (cloud and on-prem), VMware; designing, implementing, and testing hardware and software across a distributed environment, including applying best practices, are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Azure architecture designs, key concepts, cost optimizing measures, design principles and architectural best practice.
  • Expert knowledge and experience designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO's, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a consultative manner with others, i.e. establish rapport, interview/fact-find, define requirements, present options/recommend solutions, follow-up, and positive customer-focused behavior.
  • Experience planning and executing system upgrades across a distributed landscape, focusing on Azure services, Windows infrastructure and VMware.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
  • Experience leading the effort with testing new technology, with the ability to implement
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Understands several technology areas (Windows, Virtualization, Azure, AD, GPO, firewalls, networking, etc.)
  • Experience creating and following change control processes; familiarity with ITIL.
  • Experience in supporting infrastructure in regulated environments.

Salary Description

$90,000 - $120,000
