The Systems Engineer 3 will be responsible for management and optimization of core tooling systems and processes, including but not limited to, Monitoring, Patching, Logging, Configuration management and Document Management. The Systems Engineer II will monitor the Business-Critical Systems (BCS) ticket queue and resolve cases for customers internal and external. The Systems Engineer II will also participate in projects as an engineering and automation resource, building simple OutSystems applications and leveraging Python and PowerShell to simplify repeatable tasks.

Responsibilities
Monitor Slack chats and provide updates and solutions for Business-Critical Systems (BCS)
Day to day maintenance and upkeep of core business systems
Resolve tickets in the BCS Epicor queue
Manage simple projects and initiatives
Provide scripting and Python support to assist with project tasks
Scope out specific work tasks and work with management and other staff to ensure on-time task completion
Provide regular updates to management regarding status of systems and projects
Attend training with System Engineer III and System Engineer IV on BCS owned systems
Participate in on-call rotation
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems
Working knowledge of database technologies
Ability to build reports against lard datasets and analyze the data to pull key insights
Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Experience in at least 2 of the following services: Patching, Monitoring, Log management, Configuration Management, Document Management
Scripting experience
Python and PowerShell a plus
Experience creating custom monitoring solutions a plus
Proficient in creating SQL queries a plus
Experience with Ansible a plus
