Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 to $105,000.
Remote Eligibility: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Pinion has a registered entity and is actively hiring. Click here for the up-to-date list of excluded states. What You'll Do:
As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing an enterprise network environment, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Employing fundamental networking concepts and protocols, including static routes, BGP, VPN, ACLs, NAT, DNS, and DHCP.
- Monitoring, maintaining, updating, and deploying Next Generation Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet).
- Monitoring, maintaining, updating, and deploying layer 3 enterprise switches (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP/Aruba).
- Maintaining a hybrid Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environment.
- Administration of Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) management within a hybrid configuration.
- Installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows Server Domain Controllers with Microsoft Entra ID Connect synchronized environment.
- Administration of Windows Server operating systems (2019, 2016, 2022).
- Performing regular system maintenance tasks, including applying patches, managing backups, updating GPO policies, and conducting performance monitoring.
- Utilizing Microsoft Intune for (MDM) and application update/deployment to 850+ devices.
- Deploying software and managing Windows devices using Microsoft Intune and PowerShell scripting.
- Monitoring and maintaining a fleet of Windows client operating systems, ensuring both the operating system and applications are consistently up to date.
- Oversight of Microsoft Intune policies and groupings for effective device management.
- A strong security-first mindset with approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Staying current with the latest technological trends and best practices in both system administration and security.
- Understanding of security technologies such as (MFA), BitLocker, EDR, and SEIM systems.
- Awareness of compliance requirements such as CCPA and GDPR where applicable.
