We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Cloud Administrator to join our IT team. This role will focus on the engineering, administration, and optimization of our Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and broader SaaS-based ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring 7-10 years of hands-on experience supporting and implementing enterprise-level Microsoft cloud solutions.
This position requires advanced technical expertise in cloud architecture, system automation, scripting, and administration. The successful candidate will work with minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude in executing critical infrastructure tasks, supporting operations, and contributing to innovative cloud solutions across the organization.

Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Cloud Administrator to join our IT team. This role will focus on the engineering, administration, and optimization of our Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and broader SaaS-based ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring 7-10 years of hands-on experience supporting and implementing enterprise-level Microsoft cloud solutions.
This position requires advanced technical expertise in cloud architecture, system automation, scripting, and administration. The successful candidate will work with minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude in executing critical infrastructure tasks, supporting operations, and contributing to innovative cloud solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and other Microsoft cloud services.
- Design, implement, and support cloud-based systems and automated solutions using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Support and manage O365/M365 licensing, identity, and access management, including single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) integrations.
- Handle advanced eDiscovery requests, compliance-related tasks, and security configurations within M365.
- Lead efforts in documenting and maintaining procedures, processes, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess business requirements and develop cloud-based solutions that align with strategic objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud service issues, including Exchange Online mail flow, Teams collaboration, and user provisioning.
- Work Helpdesk tickets escalated to Tier 3 for cloud and O365-related support incidents.
- Research and evaluate emerging Microsoft and SaaS technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of modern cloud solutions.
- Participate in technical forums, workgroups, and cross-functional meetings to ensure cohesive IT operations and planning.
- Develop and maintain a secure, scalable, and resilient Microsoft cloud infrastructure.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when needed for project implementation or issue resolution.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Information Technology Leadership team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and cloud-based system administration.
- Deep technical knowledge of Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Proven experience with Windows PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration.
- Experience managing and implementing SSO, MFA, and identity management solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred:
- Experience in regulated industries or working within compliance frameworks.
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, M365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or similar.
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance tools within Microsoft cloud environments.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices for change, incident, and configuration management.
