Position Purpose:
Responsible for the management of planning, implementing, and controlling all financial related activities. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, job costing, evaluation of company ventures, and fixed asset management. The Controller will work with the General Manager on budgeting and forecasting.

Take a proactive, hands-on approach with all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the company
Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives
Support General Manager in establishing sales and financial goals for the company in coordination with Ambassador Supply leadership and assist in meeting these goals.
Provide financial analysis to evaluate company special projects, programs, capital expenditures, product costing, etc. to include ROI calculations as requested
Requirements
Qualifications:
BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a progressively responsible financial leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the company with staff at remote locations
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
Strong experience working with financial and operational data and databases
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
Proficient with office productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Microsoft Great Plains SL a plus
Physical Requirements:
Majority of functions are completed in an office with periodic trips around facilities and manufacturing plant are required
Walking, sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, seeing, and using hands to operate tools necessary for the job
Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds.

- Provide a business partnership mindset with executive management providing insight and advice on the financial implications of business activities
- Member of site senior leadership team participation and messaging of key company initiatives
- Primary accounting responsibilities include oversight of (GL, AR, AP, lease management, tax filings (sales tax, heavy vehicle tax, property tax, business tax), group insurance, direct interaction with Ambassador Supply (parent company), and coordination with human resources on all payroll related items as necessary.
- Monthly recurring responsibilities include month-end closing (journal entries, accrual management, commissions, financial statement processing and report publication, financial analysis, Month In Review preparation and participation
- Daily responsibilities include forecasting, support for accounts receivable collections (as needed), Key metrics reporting daily, weekly, as needed.
- Annual responsibilities include annual company budget preparation, location facilitator for annual financial audit - external auditor interaction, annual physical inventory management
- Responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reports to Ambassador Supply and working collaboratively with the parent company Corporate Controllers and affiliate Controllers.
- Manage the overall activities of the Accounting and IT (outsource)
