Manager of Laboratory Services

Plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the Laboratory departments at all Vista Health System sites. These job responsibilities are consistent with those of a technical supervisor (except for Blood Bank) and a general supervisor as defined in the CLIA regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the departments meet all infection control and safety standards as specified by the regulatory agencies and Vista Health.
• Plan and direct department operations.
• Plan and direct the management and development of department staff.
• Develop and monitor department budgets.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control and performance improvement activities.

Requirements:

• Master or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• At least six years of experience in a highly complex clinical laboratory setting with at least three years of experience in a laboratory leadership role.
• Completion of an approved clinical laboratory training program accredited by ABHES, CAHEA or other organization approved by HHS.
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
