The opportunity
As an Analyst, Real Assets (Infrastructure), you will have the opportunity to provide analytical and transactional support to the Real Assets team in transaction execution and asset management.
Your role will focus on Infrastructure, which includes Digital, Energy/Energy Transition and Transport Logistics Infrastructure. It will involve the ongoing pursuit and management of direct infrastructure investments across the Americas with a focus on the North American portfolio.
This position will be integral to the effective execution of AustralianSuper's Real Assets Portfolio Strategy by a small and passionate team of infrastructure professionals.
This role is based on-site at 1251 Avenues of the Americas, with a hybrid work schedule.

The compensation range for this position is $190,000 to $290,000 (this is based on full-time hours, located in New York City). The pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience and refers to the amount AustralianSuper is willing to pay at the time of posting.

Key responsibilities
New Investments
The role will support and undertake investment analytics for new investments, which includes:
- Researching, analyzing and evaluating a variety of infrastructure sectors and direct investment opportunities.
- Building complex dynamic financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including assessment of returns, implementation of valuation methodologies, testing of assumptions and sensitivities.
- Being the primary or secondary point of contact for the financial model workstream when undertaking due diligence for a new investment.
- Assisting in detailed investment valuation analysis and providing support throughout the due diligence and deal execution process.
Asset Management
The role will support and undertake the asset and portfolio management functions including:
- The execution and delivery of investment thesis, inclusive of value creation initiatives.
- Analyzing historic and forecasting future performance of the Portfolio.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of infrastructure experience from investment banking, infrastructure funds or private equity funds.
- Experience with buy side and/or sell side transactions preferred.
- Experience with research, financial modelling and valuation principles and practices for unlisted infrastructure assets.
- Experience undertaking analysis of information and drawing of conclusions.
- Advanced use of MS Office products especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
