License: ARRT
Certifications: BLS
Must-Have: Experience in a fast-paced, high-turnover procedural IR unit
Job Description:
- Work in a Level I trauma hospital, taking care of both outpatient and critically ill inpatients, including those with emergent Trauma and Stroke conditions.
- Participate in various procedures such as embolizations (neuro and body), drain placements/exchanges, central line placements, Y90 planning and implant, and more.
- Collaborate with a team of 1 RN and 1-2 Radiology Techs per procedure.
- Handle weekend requirements with rotating call duties: weekday call once per week (1800-0730), weekend call every 4-6 weeks (Friday 1800 to Monday 0730).
- Utilize Epic for charting with a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:2.
- Scrubs will be provided.
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation with 20 hours of non-billable training, including modules completed on the first day of orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment and maintain high standards of care.
Note: The role does not require floating within the facility to meet needs or float between similar units.
