Pay range for this position is $38.95 - $52.06/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Burn Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the Burn Registry, Report Writing, Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance. Responsible for compliance with all applicable governmental and specialty regulatory agencies including disaster planning, and American Burn Association Verification requirements. Participates in referral follow up communication to affiliated hospitals, medical centers, physicians and external agencies. Responsible for standardizing burn care throughout OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in nursing or health related field. 3-5 years progressively more responsible experience in neurosciences. Current state license as a Registered Nurse. ACLS, and PALS. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and hospital management, both internally and externally (region-wide). Two years' experience as a direct burn or trauma care provider.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS), ABLS Instructor Masters of Nursing Experience with American Burn Association verification requirements, quality and process improvement project lead, and prehospital experience.
