Overview
We seek a pediatric dermatologist who is board eligible/certified in dermatology with additional training in pediatrics and/or pediatric dermatology. Responsibilities include caring for infants, children and adolescents with dermatologic disorders in outpatient clinics; staffing inpatient consultations; and educating pediatric dermatology fellows, pediatric/dermatology residents, and medical students. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The dermatology division has a very active outpatient service with approximately 15,000 outpatient visits per year, and a busy inpatient consultative service providing up to 200 inpatient consultations annually. As the only academic pediatric dermatology center between Columbia, Mo., and Denver, Colo., the dermatology division draws patients with a wide spectrum of clinical disease including very rare and complex medical conditions.
Special clinics are held for genetic skin disorders, localized scleroderma, neurocutaneous disorders, melanoma, infantile hemangioma, and vascular anomalies. Opportunities exist for performing laser and excisional surgeries, as well as research endeavors. On-going collaboration with in-house subspecialists and ancillary services in infectious disease, rheumatology, allergy and immunology, pathology, radiology, hematology/oncology, nutrition, psychology and plastic surgery.
