Purpose

  • The Senior Group Manager, Genesis Financial Strategy is responsible for leading internal communications and reporting of all financial analysis for Genesis in the US market. This role serves as a trusted finance partner to Genesis leaders, offering data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize financial outcomes. This role requires close collaboration with Budget and Business Operations, functional area liaisons, and Finance.


Major Responsibilities

  • Partner with corporate finance teams to generate executive-level summaries of business operations to support decision making and expense optimization.
  • Generate a narrative for leadership with consise, actionable insights on financial health of the organization and progress tracking towards objectives to support executive decisions.
  • Collaborate with Budget & Business Operations and functional teams to refine proposals that satisfy profitability improvement tasks for executive leadership.
  • Develop and evaluate financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to support strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and return-on-investment assessments.
  • Expeditiously recommend reallocation of funds to unexpected financial changes or market changes.
  • Generate month-end closing reports and easily digestable operational forecast dashboards.
  • Develop systems to aid in the facilitation of the annual budget planning process.
  • Develop and continuoisuly enhance systems for midterm plan financial forecasting.
  • Effectively hire, train, motivate, develop, and retain staff. Utilize the diverse talents of direct reports by efficiently managing time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to streamline expense management or reporting processes.

  • Responsible for performance management and development of any assigned direct reports.
  • Approve all time off, training, expense reporting, and miscellaneous spending for team.


Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
~ Master's degree a plus

Related Experience

  • At least ten years of professional experience is required, ideally in the automotive industry, in finance, accounting, corporate strategy, management consulting, or business planning roles.
  • At least five years of leadership experience is preferred.


Skills/Knowledge

  • Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Thorough knowledge of general and cost accounting methods and principles, including data processing applications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong orgranizational and team leadership skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and present data effectively to executive management.
  • Knowledge of SQL, QMF query language, database methods.
  • Knowledge of product and understanding of competitor strategies.

$137,025.00 - $203,000.00 Annual
