Our EMI team in Orange County, CA is always looking for great talent and especially people who enjoy solving difficult problems in a creative way. Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure (EMI) applies engineering mechanics, materials science, numerical simulation, innovative technologies, and collective expertise to solve our clients' toughest problems in an inspiring work environment that nurtures life-long learning and growth. A successful candidate for the Project Administrator role may work on providing support for projects related to buildings, bridges, pipelines, nuclear facilities, tanks, rail vehicles, rotating equipment, precision observatory structures, and other non-building structures and systems.

What you'll be doing:

SGH has an opening for a Project Administrator. This position will include the following:
  • Lead Project Coordination: Manage daily operations of various projects, ensuring seamless execution by monitoring milestones, identifying risks, developing project plans, and delivering on schedule.
  • Client Communication: Develop and utilize project tracking tools to keep internal staff members and clients updated throughout the project. Provide timely communication verbally and in writing regarding project risks, timelines, and delays.
  • Administrative Support: Support and work closely with technical leads on administrative tasks such as preparing schedules, drafting proposals, meeting preparation, vendor contract management, and procurement.
  • Risk Assessment: Manage the Probabilistic Risk Assessment process for the Structural Engineering portfolio and report findings to technical leads
  • Budget Management: Track the financial aspects of projects, provide reports on spending, and coordinate or adjust work efforts with the technical lead to ensure that work is completed within the agreed-to-schedule parameters.
  • Multi-Project Management: Efficiently oversee multiple projects concurrently, balancing client needs and competing priorities.

What You'll Need:
  • 3-5 years of relevant project administration experience or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • BS or MS with a concentration in Engineering, Project Engineering, Applied Radiation Sciences or a science-related degree from an ABET-accredited university required.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Experience required using Microsoft Office Suite - MS Project
  • Experience in using project management software and scheduling software tools, such as Primavera P6, preferred.
  • Experience within the nuclear industry is preferred.
  • Experience within project management of civil engineering/structural engineering projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering/structural engineering principles and practices preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse project teams. Gets along well with others and provides enthusiastic help and support when appropriate.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to stay organized and proficient with project documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Anticipated annual base salary: $78,520 - $103,480. This range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors including the candidate's experience and qualifications, education, and work location.

Base salary is a part of SGH's industry leading Total Compensation package. Our Total Compensation package includes base salary, pay for extra hours worked, an annual discretionary bonus program, generous paid time off, and health and wellness benefits with a special emphasis on substantial SGH contributions to medical insurance premiums and SGH's Profit Sharing & 401(k) Plan.
