The LA Clippers are hiring a mascot! We're seeking a dynamic and multi-talented individual with a varied skillset in acrobatics, dancing, improvisation, stunts, crowd engagement, a flair for comedic timing, etc., to bring Chuck the Condor to life! We are looking for a mascot who has a knack for non-verbal communication and improvisation who can bring their charismatic personality to entertain and connect with individual fans as well as arena crowds. Chuck is more than just a mascot! This person will be passionate about creating memorable and engaging fan experiences, both on and off the court, and possess the creativity and stamina to deliver high-energy performances all year round. Chuck is an important part of our Game Presentation team and are looking to hire someone who can bring a creative flare to this role, bringing imaginative new and inventive ways to engage with our fans while championing our brand.
This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover everything from community events to high profile events and NBA games. The scope of this position encompasses a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation.

Opened in August 2024, Intuit Dome is the new home of the LA Clippers and will host hundreds of sporting events and concerts each year. Located in Inglewood, Calif., Intuit Dome is built differently -- it will redefine fans' expectations for live experiences and change the music landscape in Los Angeles.
Set to host the 2026 NBA All-Star game, Intuit Dome is over 1 million square feet and features our team training center, business operations offices, five full-sized basketball courts, an 80,000 square foot outdoor plaza and a double-sided Halo Board composed of more than an acre of LED.

What You Will Do
- Perform as Chuck the Condor at all LA Clippers home games (Preseason, 41 regular season, plus playoffs).
- Enhance the LA Clippers Game Presentation experience by developing, creating and executing new performances and skits while ensuring all presentations are on brand.
- Work the crowd by posing for photos, signing autographs, and engaging with fans of all ages at games and events.
- Perform as mascot at all various LA Clippers events including, season ticket holder, partner, and community events along with sponsored appearances as well as other "community events" as deemed important to the organization (200-300 year).
- Perform stunts, dances, and other activities as needed to elevate the overall experience.
- Contribute ideas for new mascot skits, dance routines, and themed performances.
- Maintain the mascot's character consistency, including mannerisms, personality, and performance style.
- Responsible for properly maintaining the costume, wardrobe, props, etc.
- Coordinate and manage mascot appearance schedule.
- Complete all documentation and follow all organizational processes to ensure proper tracking of all events.
- Effectively manage social media channels to drive fan growth and engagement.
- Actively generate revenue for the mascot program including, merchandise sales of mascot merchandise, new appearance opportunities, sponsorship opportunities and new character branding initiatives for mascot programs.
- Attend weekly creative meetings with marketing and game operations staff.
- Work collectively with the Game Presentation Director and Creative Director to continually enhance the mascot presence within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Background, Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED degree. College graduate preferred.
- Minimum 3 or more years' experience as a mascot and/or character performer. Previous experience in entertainment, theatre, dance or physical comedy.
- Ability to think creatively and imaginatively to come up with new ways to entertain and keep the performance fresh.
- A Background in Choreography and/or skit writing experience.
- Strong non-verbal improvisation and communication skills with the ability to engage and entertain a crowd.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor interactions to different audiences, including children and adults.
- High energy, enthusiastic, and quick thinking with the ability to respond to unexpected situations spontaneously
- Ability to dance with professional dance training being a plus.
- Athletic ability (making a dunk shot is a plus) with good stamina and the ability to perform for extended periods of time in costume.
- The ability to convey emotions and messages through body language and actions. Acting experience, a plus.
- Social Media savvy with the ability to engage with fans through social media channels, with music and video editing as a plus
- Ability to work well with others across the organization and externally.
- Must be reliable and punctual and be present and prepared for all events
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and positively interact in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
- Skills in tumbling, stunts, or parkour are a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy props or perform physical activities as required.
- Mascot position requires stamina, endurance and the ability to perform in a costume for extend periods. The position involves performing dance routines, acrobatic stunts and interacting with fans. Mascot may be required to run, climb, balance, reach or bend; to move and lift up to 50 pounds; stand for long periods of time and walk extensively through the building.

Compensation
- The range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- The role is classified as exempt.
