JOB DUTIES:
- Lead the RMF implementation and ongoing security compliance for remote systems, ensuring consistent and effective security practices.
- Configure and manage STIGs and SCAP tools within various systems and networks, adhering to the latest security standards.
- Conduct virtual audits using DoD ACAS and SCAP tools and analyze results for compliance and risk management purposes.
- Conduct, participate in, and monitor weekly meetings to establish a workflow rhythm with government ISSM.
- Stay current with remote collaboration tools to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
- Review and respond to IAVA/B and other cybersecurity alerts, coordinating remotely with internal and external teams to address vulnerabilities.
- Prepare and maintain remote-accessible documentation related to RMF accreditation packages and compliance activities.
- Maintain System Cybersecurity status and reporting tools including Atlassian's Jira and Confluence.
- Provide remote cybersecurity guidance and support, acting as an expert on RMF and related DoD security practices.
- Interface with government officials and stakeholders through digital means to ensure system security and compliance.
- Continuously monitor cybersecurity developments and participate in remote training as required.
- Assist in asset management of FOUO and secret equipment.
- Assist in trouble shooting and help desk calls on a call basis.
- Knowledge of the Joint Range Extension (JRE) gateway software and the ability to work as a test engineer in a test capacity testing the JRE software.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree and two (2) years or more experience; Master's degree and 0 years of related experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent or a current pathway to attaining certifications.
- At least two years of experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in RMF and DoD security processes.
- Familiarity with remote-accessible cybersecurity and compliance tools such as eMASS.
- Proficiency with remote work tools and practices, ensuring effective virtual collaboration and communication.
- Demonstrated ability with DoD ACAS and SCAP scanning and analysis in a remote setting.
- Strong understanding and experience with STIGs, SCAP, IAVA, and IAVB, particularly in a remote work environment.
- Advanced work proficiency, including experience with cybersecurity tasks performed in a virtual environment.
- Experience in a DoD USAF or Federal Agency cybersecurity role, particularly in a remote capacity.
- Availability during standard business hours, with flexibility to accommodate different time zones if necessary.
- Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, training, or onsite audits.
