Overview
Lynker is seeking a Software Engineer to join our development team. This role will focus on enhancing and maintaining the Java-based software, improving system efficiency, and ensuring robust documentation. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with a full-stack web development environment, have expertise with technologies such as Java Spring framework and Angular, and collaboratively work with a diverse development and quality assurance team.
Responsibilities
Duties of the Software Engineer will include the following:
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
- Write well-designed, testable code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Deploy applications and evaluate end-user feedback
- Comply with project plans and industry standards and best practices
- Ensure software is continuously updated with the latest features and security patches
- Evaluate, analyze, and modify moderately complex application programs
Qualifications
The Software Engineer selected should have the following:
- Experience with VS Code and Eclipse development environments
- Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, and HTML languages
- Experience with Java Spring Framework and Angular
- Disciplined with Subversion and Git version control
- Experience with software deployments using Jenkins
- Proficiency with Linux interactive shell (Bash) and shell scripting
The Ideal Software Engineer will have the following:
- SAS and R familiarity
- Experience with Qlik Sense Enterprise
- Familiarity with data analytics
