We are currently hiring experienced individuals to join our EPI (Epitaxy) and ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) teams at various levels. Please note, only applicants with relevant experience will be considered for this position. Job Summary:

As part of our EPI or ALD team, you will focus on the electrical and control aspects of projects. You'll make key decisions on sensors, PLCs, and electrical components, and design electrical drawings that meet ASM's quality standards.

You'll communicate your design logic in technical meetings and maintain electrical documentation throughout the design phase. You'll also help resolve technical issues, identify trends, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure control systems meet both functional and safety requirements. Additionally, you'll maintain PLC/control systems and contribute to the design of new products.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary project team, contributing to the electrical and control aspects of the project.
  • Take responsibility for key decisions related to sensors, PLCs, control devices, and other electrical components.
  • Design electrical drawings and specifications that meet ASM's high standards for quality and innovation.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of your design logic and decision-making processes in technical meetings.
  • Develop and maintain electrical documentation during the design phase, ensuring compliance with ASM standards.
  • Participate in task forces addressing technical escalations that have not been resolved by lower support levels, identifying trends and recommending improvements to prevent future issues.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and process engineering) to ensure control systems meet both functional and safety requirements.
  • Maintain existing PLC/control system programs and contribute to the design and development of new products based on specific design requirements.

Education & Experience:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to visualize and conceptualize complex challenges.
  • Proven experience leading innovative design initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Independent thinker who thrives as a sparring partner, while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and experience working with engineers through revision control software (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of power and analog circuits, including DC-DC converters, amplifiers, rectifiers, and ADC/DACs.
