Job Description Summary:
The Director, Global SMB Seller Risk Portfolio Management will report to the Senior Director of Global SMB Seller Risk Management. You will work closely with Small Medium Business (SMB) leaders, Risk Products for infrastructure, Decision Science, Fraud Operations, and Engineering to execute on the portfolio management seller risk roadmap that you and your team will develop to mitigate identity and synthetic fraud as well as seller risk (e.g., credit).

Global Fraud Prevention resides in the Global Risk Management (GRM) organization that supports various business lines in optimizing risk and rewards to enable profitable business growth within risk appetite. You will lead a team of global risk professionals focusing on managing portfolio management strategies to support the growth of SMB line of business across multiple regions with key focus on the US, UK, and EU markets. Areas of responsibility include but not limited to overall portfolio management strategy in risk grading, money movements, incident management, rule optimization, fraud operations oversight, etc. You will be partnering with SMB Business Unit leaders in executing Business Unit roadmap and OKRs while balancing company risk appetite.

  • You will provide thought leadership to cross-functional leaders in multiple Product teams, P&L owner, Finance, and Operations to grow the business while achieving key business objectives
  • You will work closely with business stakeholders to develop portfolio management roadmap to support profitable business growth and trade-offs. Defining team objective and execute on those objectives to drive profitable growth across different regions.
  • Prioritize work for your team and functional partners
  • Provide best user experience through the lens of risk-grading while identify automation opportunities throughout user journey.


Your day-to-day
  • Lead multiple teams to become center of excellence in SME Seller portfolio management. By developing a framework for different risks and developing strategies to optimize the trade-off between risk and rewards
  • Work collaboratively with multiple cross functional teams to prioritize and execute on a multi-year roadmap that you will develop and get buy in agreements from key stakeholders. Execution excellence is the key.
  • Develop risk professionals and team to become a top performer in both thought leadership and execution.
  • Strong communicator and educator to demystify seller risk management and bring transparency across business
  • Be a voice of risk management and help solve complex problems within defined risk box


What do you need to bring
  • 15+ years of experience in financial technology, banking, or payments with deep subject matter expertise and execution in managing data-based strategies to separate fraud and credit risks in deposits, credit cards, or acquiring products.
  • Have experience managing consumer or Small Medium Business (SMB) fraud and credit risk in the US, UK, or EU. Experiences in multiple markets is a plus.
  • Knowledge of existing/emerging regulatory frameworks related to consumer and SMB.
  • Have experience in a Fintech working with Product and Engineering organization is a plus
  • Proven track record in driving positive outcomes between risk management and business leaders
  • Excellent project management skills, well organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • A high-level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility/flexibility, combined with strong analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to inspire/foster an inclusive/diverse culture
  • Demonstrated ability to build/maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation
  • Strong communicate skills in explaining complex matters in a simple and clear manner
  • Experience in partnering with senior business stakeholders, particularly in the context of a rapidly evolving environment

$120300 to $287100
