Position Overview
The Database Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems that support business functions and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of database architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization to ensure data quality and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement database solutions to support application development and data management needs.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and database tuning.
• Collaborate with software developers to define data requirements and ensure database integrity.
• Maintain and upgrade existing database systems as necessary.
• Conduct database backups, recovery, and data migration activities.
• Monitor database performance and implement improvements as needed.
• Document database structures, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Python and Django framework.
• Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools.
• Proficient in using version control systems, particularly GitHub.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and server management.
• Knowledge of database optimization techniques and best practices.
