About the Role

An innovative healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead financial planning, analysis, and accounting functions. This position plays a crucial role in shaping financial strategy, optimizing processes, and supporting company growth. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Fundraising experience, financial modeling skills, and a background in healthcare finance are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including preparing investor materials, managing financial due diligence, and overseeing data room organization.
  • Analyze financial trends, performance metrics, and key business drivers to support executive decision-making.
  • Work closely with department leaders to create budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger management, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability in financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external financial partners.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in finance and accounting, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in fundraising, investor relations, and financial due diligence.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth company is a plus.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or technology sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of improving financial processes and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, or other financial management software.
