Job description
Process leader and focal for the industrialization/DVI-PPAP process (GRP-165) and APQP (AS9145) process.
Project manager for all industrialization projects, from new parts in load from supply chain to new product industrializations from new development programs.
Continuous improvement on the implementation and adaptation of APQP and DVI-PPAP process to all industrialization projects and activities.
Manage all stages of the industrialization project, from initial planning through to process and tooling design and development, process prove out, process validation and process verification.
Create project plans and timelines defining all the phases and activities of the industrialization process.
Create and manage the APQP deliverables checklist and conduct milestone gate reviews with the industrialization team to ensure completion of APQP deliverables.
Manage the Prove Out Readiness (PRO) process and coordinate all activities within manufacturing engineering teams (e.g. MEs, CNC programmers, tool designers and process engineers) and with supporting functions (e.g. quality and planning)
Work with manufacturing engineering, quality and production to address and resolve issues related to change process (RFC/Change Notice/Toolform), configuration management, prove out (PRO) process, and process validation (e.g. FAI and PPAP).
Process leader and site focal for various LG level manufacturing engineering networks such as Control Plan Optimization, PFMEA, and Industrialization/APQP Tools network.
Lead in risk assessments to identify and address project and process risks using SAFRAN tools and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) methodology.
Chair the Level I Industrialization meetings to manage progression of DVI articles.
Report progress of industrialization projects at to managers and senior leadership at Level II Industrialization Steering meetings.

All applicants must meet the following requirements:Minimum age of 18 years. Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances and applicable contractual obligations.
Candidate skills & requirements
A background (5+ Years) in quality and/or manufacturing engineering in the aerospace industry.
Strong problem solving with critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent Judgement/Decision making skills.
In depth knowledge of the process and requirement of PPAP and APQP per AS9145.
Knowledge of the Company's quality system, processes and specifications.
Experienced in or knowledge of manufacturing preferably with landing gear components manufacturing such as machining, heat treatment, material processing, NDT, special processes.
Experience and knowledge with performing risk analysis and FMEA (particularly PFMEA) is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead and move people, processes and materials with strong level of energy and enthusiasm.
Ability to read, understand and work with engineering drawings and model based definitions, and manufacturing process plans and drawings.
Good computer (Microsoft office products), analytical, statistical and interpretative skills.
Effective communicator with good presentation skills and experience of reporting to upper management and senior leadership.
Preferably a Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and equivalent.
