GenAI & Agentic AI Responsibilities: Requires knowledge of: Agentic AI infrastructure; API integration patterns; Enterprise automation design; LLM function orchestration; Platform interoperability and support models. To architect GenAI-powered solutions and automation flows, defining technical patterns, integration models, and system interactions across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid systems (e.g., Copilot Studio, Agentspace, ServiceNow, Workday, Jira). Deliver detailed solution frameworks and technical requirements to software engineering teams, enabling scalable, supportable AI workflows. Serve as Tier 3 support for GenAI services and train Level 2 support resources to ensure long-term system resilience and operational maturity.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Requires knowledge of: Infrastructure maintenance tools and methodologies; Infrastructure maintenance plans and schedule; Infrastructure performance metrics. To plan for infrastructure updates, expansions and enhancements. Investigate known and unknown server errors based on solutions applied in the past. Test the security system periodically by simulating internal intrusions and noting observations. Help resolve any issue that occurs in the backup media. Regularly audit firewall logs to identify any suspicious activity. Optimize device configurations by suggesting enhancements across the server/ security/ database.

Technology Solution Automation: Requires knowledge of: Automation tools and technologies; Scripting Languages. To analyze data and metrics to identify areas of automation to drive faster response to operational issues. Maintain up-to-date documentation on deployments, processes, and standard operating procedures/runbooks with a goal minimize runbooks by automation.

Coding: Requires knowledge of: General scripting practices; automation and orchestration tooling; telemetry and observability configuration. To create and configure code/scripts that support infrastructure automation and observability. Ensure the code is minimal, resilient, and secure. Document scripts, processes, and workflows for future reuse and compliance.

Requirement And Scoping Analysis: Requires knowledge of: Traceability matrix; Risk analysis methodologies; Cost Analysis; Business objectives; Classification of requirements; User stories To explore relevant products/solutions from an existing repertoire, which can address business/technical needs. Assess gaps/ updates/ modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions (in case of agile methodology, for the iteration). Classify the requirements into applicable types (For example - Functional/Non-Functional, Derived/Imposed/Emergent etc.). Anticipate the solution risks / issues during requirements gathering phase, inform relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective steps. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (For agile methodology).

Capacity Management: Requires knowledge of: Capacity management Current and future business requirements Walmart service levels Computing resources; Infrastructure performance; Infrastructure growth plans. To right-size IT resources to meet current and future business requirements in a cost-effective manner across domains/pillars. Allocate IT resource utilization. Create a model of infrastructure performance to understand future resource needs. Produce a capacity plan that covers current use, forecasted needs, and support costs for new applications/releases. Build the annual infrastructure growth plan with inputs from other teams.

Issue Resolution: Requires knowledge of: Issue resolution techniques; Escalation scale parameters. To monitor, evaluate and assess the resolution of escalated issues. Issue non-compliance in case of non-adherence to business rules and escalate to the right channel.

Configuration Management: Requires knowledge of: Configuration management tools and processes; Configuration and release management in environment(s). To update data from all sources as and when configuration changes are deployed. Conduct analysis for simple configuration changes.

Platform, Software, and Services Migration: Requires knowledge of: Modern infrastructure migration strategies; Cloud and hybrid platform deployment; SaaS service enablement and transition planning. To support the migration of infrastructure, systems, and productivity tools from legacy or hybrid platforms to modern, cloud-first services. Assess technical readiness and risk. Provide operational support to maintain continuity throughout migration phases.

Version Control: Requires knowledge of: Version management tool; Product deployment tools and processes; Release verification mechanism. To ensure that a development trail is built that aids in identifying bugs and defects. Track and maintain any process violations. Maintain data sheet /database of past releases. Conduct release verification to ensure requirements are met under moderate supervision. Oversee and review the process for codes checked into central repository.

Integration Management: Requires knowledge of: Types of middleware; Different types of platforms; Functions of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); Programming languages used for middleware; Principles and protocols for API-level integration; New and emerging middleware products, tools and methodologies in the industry. To evaluate opportunities for creating connections among various hardware and applications. Evaluate suitable middleware to be used for integrating existing legacy applications with current applications as required including cloud systems. Program middleware or other tools to enable effective integration of applications within. Perform API-level integration. Oversee the end-to-end process of application integration to the target environment. Investigate issues or failures of application integration. Facilitate modifications to improve the success of integration between application programs.

Architecture Acumen: Requires knowledge of: Architectural principles; Systems and environment behavior; Architectural Styles, Patterns and plans; Architectural standards; Non-functional System performance parameters; Technology Strategy. To assist in decomposing the product architecture into multiple components and modules and define architectural specifications for each module. Create/Apply the right architectural pattern across the module as indicated in the architectural plan to obtain the right result. Define the architecture blueprint for the various components within a product/solution. Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency and security.

Infrastructure Design: Requires knowledge of: Software architecture; Distributed systems; Scalability; Design patterns; Disaster Recovery; Tech Stacks; Non-Functional Requirements; Security standards, frameworks, and methodologies (System Security Plan -SSP, Security Risk and Compliance Review- SRCR etc.) To create simple, modular, extensible and functional design in adherence to the requirements for multiple systems within a domain. Understand requirements and analyze the gaps between existing architecture and business requirements. Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency and security. Develop detailed design for an entire system within a domain. Conduct review of platform/system design to ensure adherence to security and compliance norms.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
