Job Description

You will contribute to new product development, influence make/buy decisions, and lead initiatives that reduce risk, cost, and lead times. - Procurement of goods and services
- Commercial management of the supplier portfolio
- Ability to negotiate terms and conditions
- Issuance of purchase orders to comply with company policies and procedures
- Communicate material status to key stakeholders
- Maintains the ERP system to ensure accuracy of data
- Develop negotiation strategies and manage negotiation
- Proactively manage commodities to identify risk and mitigate
- Resolve challenges within the commodity including but not limited to; delivery, cost, process, invoicing, etc.
- Contribute to new product developments
- Contribute to source selection, make/buy decisions, and supplier qualification
- Provide strategic insight into the relevant market industries by recommending ways to reduce risk, cost and lead-time
- May lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- May be required to support customer or external compliance audits
Qualifications
- Requires 10 years of related experience in supply chain, procurement, or related experience
- Understanding of procurement laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Work is varied and governed by well documented Company standards, policies, processes and procedures
- A College diploma or University degree in a related discipline
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
