The goal of this recruitment is to fill this position at an operations & policy analyst 3 level. However, we encourage candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for an operations & policy analyst 2 ($5,325 - $8,148) to apply, as we may consider underfilling the position until the selected candidate meets the minimum qualifications for an operations & policy analyst 3. Underfill training will not exceed three years.

Minimum qualifications for an operations & policy analyst 3:
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification;
OR
a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
Minimum qualifications for an operations & policy analyst 2 (underfill option):
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification;
OR
A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

A day in the life:
- Coordinate small initiates such as system maintenance, legislative implementation, infrastructure modifications, upgrades and more.
- Assist in initiating system changes and corrections by monitoring and evaluating customers' needs, changes in laws and new goals of the agency.
- Create and maintain system change and correction requests.
- Perform legislative analysis of bills, assist with preparing fiscal impact evaluations and serve on implementation teams.
- Monitor the progress of system change and correction requests and keep customers, external partners and management informed.
- Verify the functionality and accuracy of new and modified programs, data and output with business customers.
- Evaluate project plans, develop forecasts and participate in feasibility and impact studies.
- Assist with the planning, scheduling and installation of upgrades or changes to computer application systems and other major technology infrastructure.
- Work closely with internal and external customers and provide guidance and support.
- Provide statistical query results and reports.
- Work in a standard office environment with hybrid work options available. The ability to come to the office based on business needs is required.
