Job Title: Project Engineer - Manufacturing

Location: Stone Mountain, GA (On-site with 30% travel to plant locations)
Pay: $95,000-105,000 base per year, up to $110,000 for top candidates
Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours with in-office requirement

About the Role:

A leading manufacturer in the disposable foodservice industry is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their engineering team. Known for their commitment to sustainable and innovative products, this organization is expanding its team to support projects across multiple manufacturing locations. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated engineer with a background in manufacturing operations and production.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Project Management:
    • Oversee engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget
    • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
  • Collaboration and Client Relations:
    • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to achieve project goals
    • Maintain strong client relationships, representing the organization's commitment to high-quality service
  • Problem Solving and Technical Expertise:
    • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex engineering issues, with a focus on proactive solutions
    • Take ownership of project challenges, maintaining a solution-focused approach
  • Technical Application:
    • Interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
    • Utilize MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software
    • Program and interface with PLCs
What You Need to Succeed:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a production or manufacturing engineering role
    • Preferred experience in foam, plastics, or food/beverage manufacturing
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills with proven project management capabilities
    • Analytical mindset and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively
    • Client-facing communication skills and a collaborative approach with internal teams
    • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software
    • Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Rockwell Automation) is a plus

  • Travel: Approximately 30% travel to plant locations (NJ, FL, OH, TX, IL, KS, AZ)
    • Travel expenses are covered upfront or reimbursed
    • Food and rental car costs are covered, and mileage is reimbursed
