We are seeking a results-oriented Director of Property Management to lead our property management division and ensure operational excellence, compliance, and tenant satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulatory reporting requirements, and real estate operations across multiple property types. This role requires creative problem-solving, a commitment to compliance, and the ability to meet high standards in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the property management team, including both office and field staff.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, and industrial properties.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies including TCAC, LIHTC, HYD, CALHFA, HACLA, and LAHD.
- Manage and produce regular reports required by local, state, and federal entities.
- Ensure timely performance of all recurring duties including rent collection, maintenance scheduling, and inspections.
- Use Yardi Voyager for property management activities; familiarity with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Coordinate with finance, compliance, and executive teams to ensure organizational alignment.
- Oversee the Tax Exempt Application process for relevant projects.
- Think creatively to resolve challenges that may delay progress in projects or operations.
- Maintain strong tenant relationships and ensure high standards of customer service.
- Conduct frequent site visits and inspections across the portfolio to maintain quality control.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience supervising property management teams and operations.
- Proven experience managing a minimum of 600 low-income housing units with subsidies.
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs and agencies: TCAC, LIHTC, HYD, CALHFA, HACLA, LAHD.
- Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, retail, and industrial real estate management.
- Proficiency in preparing regulatory and performance reports.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Real Estate, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or Property Management.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Must be available to work on-site 40+ hours per week.
- Strong time management and org anizational skills.
- Ability to lead teams, work cross-functionally, and think strategically.
Preferred Attributes:
- Master's degree or additional certifications in real estate or property management.
- Demonstrated commitment to affordable housing or community-focused work.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
